The Mercury Man-Rocke Mastroserio-1962

Rocke Mastroserio is often written off as a hack for Charlton Comics if, in fact, he's remembered at all. In truth, though, he could be quite good when he wasn't rushed. Here's a rare example of a superhero story written by Joe Gill. The character only had two appearances, however.

Rocke Mastroserio was far from a hack in my estimation. His work had real power and real style, not something I associate with a hack. I firmly believer that if he had not passed away when he did, he was in the midst of getting a bit of a boost from Charlton, being the featured artist on Ghostly Tales, that he'd be more fondly remembered today.
