An entertaining sci-fi story from the prolific and pseudonymous Richard Hughes. The best part, however, is that teh day is saved by none other than Herbie Popnecker in a brief cameo! Herbie was several years into his appearances by this point and well on his way to becoming THE ultimate cult comic hero and yet he's not 100% in character here. Odd.

Inferno was not one of MLJ's best or best known super guys. Inferno's super powers were more like a party trick, actually. Art here is by Paul Reinman who here offers some interesting splash page layouts but rather amateurish looking art otherwise. Reinman would return to the character 25 years later in the infamous "Too Many Superheroes" issue of MIGHTY CRUSADERS.

Here's a buried treasure from one of Marvel's Hanna-Barbera titles, YOGI BEAR'S EASTER PARADE. The writer isn't listed but Mark Evanier wrote most of the issue and artist Dan Spiegle was his frequent collaborator for years. Spiegle remains sadly under the radar to a large extent but was certainly one of the most reliable comic book artists for more than four decades.

No bird on Tonto's head here. Just a faithful Indian companion, a fiery horse with the speed of light and a hearty Hi Yo SILVER! Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear. There's a signpost up ahead. Your next stop...The TWILI....hey, wait.

An odd entry in our DENNIS THE MENACE ripoffs is Pipsqueak here, who, like pAT THE BRAT, had his own series (briefly) from Archie in 1959-60. GCD lists the art on that final issue as by one Walt Lardner so I'm going with that as likely here, even though this is from an Archie giant.
