Ellery Queen-Crackajack Funnies-1940

My first exposure to Ellery Queen as detective and as author(s) was Peter Lawford's early '70s TV movie, followed by Jim Hutton's fun, star-studded mid-'70s TV series. I was to learn that the character had also appeared in novels, on radio, in movies, in comic books and strips, and on stage. Now nearly a hundred years old, I was actually looking for an Ellery Queen book recently at Half-Price books but they didn't have any and had never heard of his books. Sigh...

This is an adaptation of one of the early short stories, "The Hanging Acrobat" (to be found in the book THE ADVENTURES OF ELLERY QUEEN).

While the Ellery Queen books are mostly out of print in physical form, they are well represented on Kindle.
